How does the Promise Time work in Heartland Restaurant?

  • ●  In version 3.38 and above this option is available.
  • ●  Here are some important notes on Printing the Promise Time:
    • ○  Display Formats set to Kitchen Label for Print Type in the Admin Portal will automatically print this time without additional configuration.
    • ○  Display Formats set to Kitchen Slips will have a setting that needs to be checked under Location Setup → Display Formats → Show Promised Time in the Admin Portal to display.
  • ●  Dine In\Carryout:

○ The option to enter the promised time on the POS is located on the Info screen under the Hold Ticket

option. Because both the hold time and promise time are the same for dine in and carryout orders, both

fields will display ‘Order Due’ with the promised or held time listed underneath on kitchen tickets.

Phone In Delivery Orders:
○ When taking delivery orders over the phone, it is important to enter the estimated delivery time given

to the customer in the promise time field on the POS. The system will take the promised time and automatically back out the drive time to print an Order Due time on the kitchen slip. In addition to the Order Due time, the promised time can also be displayed.

Online Delivery Orders:
○ When a customer submits a delivery order online, they are promised a time that the food will be

delivered. The promised time is derived by adding the delivery lead time and drive time. The system will take the promised time and automatically back out the drive time to print an Order Due time on the ticket. In addition to the Order Due time, the promised time can also be displayed on Kitchen tickets.
