How to create a Refund in Heartland Restaurant?

How do I refund a specific ticket?

  • Select the desired ticket.
  • If the ticket is from a previous day you will need to go to Reports, tickets then select correct date and locate ticket. After selecting the ticket number, select view original on the top right.
  • Select ​Info ​from the ​Left Handed menu​ Under ​Ticket Actions ​select ​Refund Ticket​.
  • A confirmation will appear to ensure you want to refund the ticket. Once confirmed it will prompt you to enter a reason for the refund.
  • A new red version of the ticket will populate with the original ticket number with -REF at the end.
  • From here you can enter additional items to refund if necessary and pay out the negative amount to the desired card or tender. It will show up in reports and balance out.
  • Click Check Out and select payment type to be refunded. If it’s a credit card, in most cases you will need to have the card data available. A few card processors store the data not needing card data. Consult with dealer.
